Ed Olszewski is a civil litigator, focusing his practice on professional liability defense, including medical malpractice, as well as toxic torts and product liability. He is a seasoned trial lawyer, with decades of experience, trying cases to verdict in numerous states, including Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Texas and Ohio.
Mr. Olszewski’s medical malpractice litigation experience includes trial defense of claims ranging from catastrophic birth injuries to wrongful death. His environmental/toxic tort practice is national in scope and includes trial defense of mass tort claims. One such trial involved a successful trial defense of claims of injury from asbestos exposure by more than 8,000 plaintiffs.
Mr. Olszewski’s professional accomplishments have brought him to a level of preeminence among his peers, including an AV peer review rating by Martindale-Hubbell. He has been recognized in Best Lawyers in America® in four separate practice areas: Mass Tort Litigation/Class Actions – Defendants; Product Liability Litigation – Defendants; Medical Malpractice Law – Defendants; and Personal Injury Litigation – Defendants. His recognition by Best Lawyers in America® includes distinction as Lawyer of the Year for Mass Tort Litigation/Class Actions – Defendants, in 2019.
Mr. Olszewski is a member of the Allegheny County Academy of Trial Lawyers. He is also a member of the Claims and Litigation Management Alliance. Mr. Olszewski serves the local community with Shaler Hampton EMS, where he serves as Chairman of the Board of Directors.
